This simple turmeric fish is easy and quick to make, perfect for lazy days. Don’t forget that fish and turmeric are both excellent for your health. All great reasons to make this more often.
The turmeric gives the fish a subtle woody-floral flavor and a lovely golden hue that instantly tells your brain- this is going to be good.
Simple Turmeric Fish
So simple it hardly needs a recipe. But I'm putting it here to remind me to make it more often!
- white fish, (such as cream dory/basa, whiting, tilapia)
- powdered turmeric,
- salt, (to taste)
- butter, (for cooking)
Sprinkle salt and powdered turmeric on fish and spread gently all over the fish.
Pan-fry on butter over medium heat until cooked. Serve.
(Optional) Fry leftover rice on the same frying pan for extra tasty fried rice with the fish. Do the same with vegetables. I also like to have the fish with soy sauce on the side for dipping.
